Open Door International is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) corporation dedicated to providing recently returned missionaries (both service and teaching missionaries) for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and other responsible Christians, with opportunities for stable employment, continued education, and ongoing service in the Church and community. We do this by providing housing for missionaries in a location more central to employment and educational resources. While living in an Open Door home, we help returned missionaries plan and connect to these resources and opportunities.

What We Provide
Safe Housing
We provide safe and comfortable housing to recently returned missionaries in cities where employment and educational opportunities are greater.
Opportunities
We partner with local employment and educational agencies in providing candidates with opportunities that would be out of their reach otherwise.
Faith-centered Home
We provide spiritual development and service opportunities through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and other faith groups.
Who we are
Open Door is a group of people that love missionaries and the gospel, and know hard it can be to transition from 24-hour, Christ-centered service to the workforce or university. Many of the young men and women we serve through this program would return home from their missions to either poverty or a community that does not support their life of faith. We assist in that crucial transition by giving those that could not afford the kinds of opportunities they need a place to live in areas where they will be able to pursue education and careers that would be out of reach to them otherwise.

We currently operate a home in Phnom Penh Cambodia, and are looking to expand these services to many other countries throughout Asia, the Pacific Islands and other areas where the need is greatest. Help us reach more in-need missionaries by donating today!
